How to Combat the Plastic Problem with Laundry
Plastic is a huge problem. Most people can agree with that statement. However, it’s not just the dreaded straws or plastic bags that are the issue.
645 billion plastic household product containers are dumped in landfills and oceans globally each year!😳
Recycling is NOT the solution and never has been. For starters, only 9% of America’s plastic is actually recycled (2015 figures). The rest is sent to landfills, with a large percentage ending up in our oceans. The other issue with recycling is that it can only be cycled down 1-2x, depending on the type of plastic, before it’s completely useless.
Cue TruEarth! No plastic. Eco-friendly, paraben-free, phosphate-free, hypoallergenic, free from added dyes, no animal testing, free of bleach, free of 1,4-dioxane, and readily biodegradable, and so simple!
